Summary of position: Based in Orlando, FL, and reporting to the Operational Specialists and Blade Repair Group manager, this position will lead the electrical and mechanical specialists and subcontractors in the field. The Up Tower Electrical and Mechanical Repair Supervisor will be responsible for managing project delivery, performance management, and financial management. The Up Tower Electrical and Mechanical Repair Supervisor must be able to work in confined/enclosed space and be comfortable with heights. Up to 30% of traveling is required for this position.

Duties and Responsibilities

·        Responsible for coordination and execution of all drivetrain inspections, repairs, and replacements.

·        Responsible for coordination and execution of all electrical work, repairs and troubleshooting.

·        Manage field technician crews and schedules on a regular basis and material ordering for field repairs.

·        Strong written and verbal communication skills to describe complex damages, participate in preparation of inspection and repair reports, and follow up to final resolution.

·        Provide electrical, main shaft, gearbox, and auxiliary component troubleshooting support to the field.

·        Support aftersales, operations, and warranty management with associated projects.

·        Support special projects internally and in the aftersales market.

·        Support warranty and campaigns.

·        PO creation, tracking, and final invoicing for all associated projects.

·        Support mechanical and electrical special projects internally and in the aftersales market.

·        Up to 30% travel supporting field services.

·        Assist with logistics and repair centers for repairs when needed.

·        Work with experts in developing tools and procedures to internalize new repairs.

·        Interface with condition monitoring systems and engineers to help prioritize inspections and repairs.

·        PO creation, tracking, and final invoicing for all associated projects.

·        Advance computer skills, including word processing, spreadsheets, diagnostic tools and equipment.


Manage internal/external resources to perform the following: 

Gearbox Bearings, Borescope (Gearbox), Generator Bearings, Yaw Claw, Slew Ring, Transformer, Converters, High Advance Troubleshooting



High School Graduate/GED/Equivalent Work – Required

Vocation/Technical School/ Diploma Program – Preferred

Associate’s Degree – Preferred

Bachelor’s Degree – Preferred

5 to 10 years – Required
