Job Description:

This is a role well suited to an ambitious professional, looking for the next step in their career. As an Environmental Health & Safety Specialist, you will be responsible for:

  • You will implement, manage, and administer an environmental health and safety management system (EHSMS) and associated programs that align with Siemens Healthineers requirements, international standards, good work practices, laws and regulations.
  • You will assess EHS risks associated with existing and new processes, substances, equipment and facilities
  • You will identify and mitigate hazards and environmental aspects and impacts
  • You will perform regulatory compliance activities, including preparing and submitting reports and interfacing with regulatory agency personnel.  Manage regulatory audits for sites within responsibility

  • You want to provide technical guidance to employees regarding environmental, health and safety related issues or concerns, and regulatory compliance
  • You can investigate accidents, incidents, and non-conformances and perform root cause analyses
  • You want to lead and participate on teams and committees
  • You have a willingness to travel and flexibility, including possibly short-term international trips
  • You are able to communicate verbally and in writing to employees at all levels in clear, simple and effective terms
Required skills to have for the success of this role
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in industrial hygiene, occupational safety, environmental science, or a related discipline
  • Six or years more years’ experience in  EHS
  • Knowledge in EHS management principles, regulations and standards
