Job Description:

Position Overview


As a CNC programmer you will be responsible to plan, create, and coordinate Manufacturing Process Plans, CNC Programs, and Manufacturing estimates. 



  • Develop and maintain .net applications for CNC programming group.

  • Create and maintain databases used by CNC programming group.

  • Create and update Siemens NX Postprocessors.

  • Provide support for CNC Verification and Simulation systems.

  • Solid understanding of machining, tooling, and other metal working processes.

  • Creates and maintains CNC Programs, tooling and supporting machine setup information.

  • Demonstrates a commitment to meeting customer requirements and utilizing new technology to automate creation of CNC programs.

  • Identifies and implements improvements to the process, systems or controls which reduce cost, improve product quality and competitive position.

  • Maintains a current knowledge of CNC capabilities, tooling, process planning and Computer Aided Manufacturing (CAM) technology.

Required Skills/Knowledge/Experience:
  • High School Degree
  • 3-5 years in a manufacturing environment 
  • 2+ years of  experience in CNC programmer with .net CNC programming familiarity 
  • Knowledge of machining, tooling, and computer aided manufacturing systems.
  • Demonstrated ability as a software developer.
  • Strong understanding of CNC capabilities, tooling, process planning and Computer Aided Manufacturing (CAM) technology..

 Preferred Skills/Knowledge/Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in a Technical Discipline.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Access database, tcl/tk, and C# software.
  • 5+ years’ of experience in software support for CNC programming environment.
  • Familiarity with Siemens NX CAM software
  • Experience with C programming, specifically pointers and memory management
