Position Overview 

Our Eugene Oregon office is current searching for a combination role of a Client Service manager and an Associate Project Manager to join the team.  This position is responsible for service agreement and project management duties on assigned accounts and projects. Multiple small sized projects will be handled by this role. As needed this position may be assigned as part of a larger project team with selected duties at the direction of a senior project manager. The position will support the Building Automation, Fire and Security business lines. This position requires work to be completed in both office and field locations.

Client Service Manager Responsibilities: 

  • Manages accounts for all assigned service customers providing outstanding customer satisfaction and retention. Serves as the main contact for all service product lines including: service plans/contracts, Extras, Time and Material, Non-Installed Parts, plus Installed Service projects. 
  • Ensures customer expectations are met and resolves customer issues in a timely, effective, and professional manner. 
  • Provides assistance to service-sales people during job take-off, product application, estimating, and customer demonstrations; performs site surveys and audits as needed. 
  • Identifies additions to service, upgrades, and revenue during contract renewals to meet customer needs and improve system efficiency. 
  • Develops account strategies and sells independently or in a team environment, depending on the account (more independently as higher in level). Leads quality assurance activities and may assist w/ renewals on assigned accounts. 
  • Develops, implements, and executes labor and material plans for service plans, Extras, T and M, and Installed Service jobs. Establishes a work plan and preventative maintenance schedule and project management tasking using SAP to fulfill assigned account commitments. Works with coordinators to plan manpower skills and availability, documentation, workload balance and resolves schedule conflicts. 
  • Ensures project profitability through achieving plan gross margin levels, billing and collections, and effective cost containment procedures. Manages all internal accounting and revenue recognition systems and assists with revenue and staffing forecasting activities. 
  • Reviews all labor related project estimates prior to customer proposal and booking. May be required to assist in pricing decisions. 
  • Provides day to day direction to dotted-line field personnel to ensure that the service plan/contract is being executed as planned with the customer. 
  • May participate on special assignments and/or assist in developing and implementing customer training aimed at improving customer knowledge. 

Associate Project Manager Responsibilities

  • Directs and motivates the project team during installation, start-up, commissioning, turnover and warranty of assigned projects. 
  • Participates in sales-to-operations turnover meetings to evaluate accuracy of the sales estimate and job layout. 
  • Analyzes plans, construction contract specifications to determine project requirements. 
  • Manages the development of project plans in advance of project activity assuring effective execution by the Project  Team; monitors progress to assure compliance with the pre determined execution plan. 
  • Prepares progress billings, orders material and handles other miscellaneous project tasks. 
  • Utilizes financial and monthly forecasting to manage and contain costs. 
  • Pursues timely payments from the customer and authorizes payments to material suppliers and subcontractors. 
  • Obtains bids and selects reliable subcontractors to provide wiring, device installation, special construction or other services. 
  • Participates in job site final walk thru and manages the completion of all close out documentation. 
  • This role works with fellow project managers and Operations manager to develop proper skills to better enhance the overall ownership culture. 

Required Knowledge, Skills, Abilities, and Education: 

  • High School Diploma / GED Required.  Associate's Degree in a Technical Field Preferred
  • 6 months to 1 year of Project Management experience in one or more phases of project delivery. 
  • 2+yrs experience with Building Automation Systems / HVAC Controls 
  • Strong leadership, listening, verbal and written communication skills are required. 
  • Must possess a valid Driver's license in good standing and must be at least 21 years of age in order to participate in the required Siemens vehicle plan. 
  • Knowledge or Microsoft Office applications with an emphasis on Excel. 
  • Knowledge of industry engineering fundamentals and business operations required. 
  • Prior experience with project related financial measurements. 
  • Qualified Applicants must be legally authorized for employment in the United States. Qualified Applicants will not require employer sponsored work authorization now or in the future for employment in the United States. 

Preferred Knowledge, Skills, Abilities, and Education: 

  • Experience with other low-voltage electrical systems is a plus. 
  • CAPM certification is a plus. Ability to obtain certification upon employment. 
  • Knowledge of Siemens Building Automation product lines
