Electrical / Hardware Engineer
3 to 5 years
Work closely with Product Management to identify key features and performance targets for new bridging, routing, and security capabilities for Enlighted’s gateway device.
Define Hardware Architecture and assist in design and testing of hardware product.
Perform schematic design and work with the CAD team on PCB layout
Work with firmware team on power management and power validation
Work on systems architecting, implementation and validation
Work with the CM and operations team on manufacturing test development
Travel to Asia to support engineering builds.
Be accountable for delivering on schedule and meeting the performance, features and quality requirements for the project
BSEE with at least 4 years of experience in consumer product design
Experience to read and understand schematics related to electronics and PCB
Experience with system level design including circuit design, system bring-up, and integration and debugging
Experience with low-power circuit design, DC/DC converters, power management methods and analog design
Experience leading and driving design development from schematic capture, PCB layout and SMT assembly
Understand designs for ESD/EMI immunities
Experience designing battery powered product with Wi-Fi, Bluetooth and GPS wireless systems
Strong interpersonal skills and capability to be a key member of various cross-functional teams
Understanding of low power design and noise suppression techniques
Ability to write test scripts for testing and automation of hardware components like power, wired and wireless connectivity on a PCB.
Hands on experience with power measurement, EMI/ESD debugging, SI
Understanding of all components used in mobile devices such as SOCs, power ICs, memories, RF components, audio, sensors, and batteries
Experience with low power/battery powered systems a plus
Experience with 802.15.4 and wireless mesh networks a plus
Experience with Bluetooth low energy (BLE) a plus
Experience in H/w Selection & Recommendation process
