o Write, review, analyze, modify and negotiate contractual documents to achieve acceptable risk levels.
o Write, review, analyze, modify and negotiate claims, settlement agreements, changes to existing agreements for service and equipment, and other contractual terms and conditions.
o Summarize and prepare risk summaries for review and approval by management.
You will ensure all bids/contracts comply with limits of authority directive. Guide review of specifications issued by purchasers; prepare customized commercial sections of bid reports. Recommend deviations from limits of authority directive and prepare letters for appropriate management approvals. Guide the preparation and negotiation of contracts and provisions of service/bid contracts, settlement agreements, and master agreements; suggest values of liquidated damages; provide consultation, advice, and/or training for lower level contract analysts.
Required Knowledge/Skills, Education and Experience:
o Bachelor’s degree required, advanced education or Law Degree is a plus.
o 8 years of legal contract business experience.
o Extensive experience drafting and negotiating contractual documents, implementing contracts, and managing claims process.
o Detailed oriented with the ability to analyze contracts to identify and evaluate risks relative to different scopes of work.
o Strong negotiation skills, detail oriented, able to handle multiple projects at the same time.
o Strong customer orientation.
o Flexibility to adjust and thrive in an environment with changing requirements, schedules and priorities.
o Able to communicate clearly and concisely with a range of associates as well as senior executives.
o Self-driven and resourceful to achieve goals independently as well as work well in groups.
O Ability to socialize ideas, make recommendations and gather team consensus to move forward.
o Excellent communication, writing, and meeting facilitation skills.
o Ability to travel domestic estimated at 10%.
