Job Description:

Position Overview

This position is, Senior HCS Consultant, Data Analytics, Global HCS reporting to the Head of Global HCS. The incumbent will be responsible for:

  • Close collaboration with Director of HCS Data Analytics, currently sole HCS Tool expert, ensuring business continuity and risk mitigation

  • Improving response times to field HCS
  • Accelerating release timelines and tool improvement initiatives

  • Atellica Solution Mandate simulation project workload support

  • Supporting lead tool developer and processors plus regions and countries on HCS tools including running country projects when required (including simulation processing for Atellica Solution Mandate)

  • Assisting users to install software and tools on laptops and troubleshooting

  • Developing full understanding of all current HCS Tools by shadowing current Director of HCS Data Analytics

  • Documenting the Code for the Tool Suite

  • Tool suite development, enhancement and bug fixing

  • Process Mapping and Value Stream mapping current requirements for tool development. Updating processes and leading improvement initiatives where required

  • Working with Global Senior Manager for HCS Training and Standardization to develop training materials, ensuring standardized field HCS competency/capability. Primary Trainer for HCS tool suite

  • Working in close collaboration with R&D and Marketing to keep simulation current and incorporate lessons learned from field for both simulation tool and dashboard tool (improvements, enhancements, update assays and specifications)

  • Supporting country/regional HCS to troubleshoot projects

  • Create process instructions/ Documents/ Help file

  • 15% of travel required

Required/Preferred Knowledge/Skills, Education, and Experience

  • Degree in Health Science, Engineering and/or Business Administration or at least 10 years of successful experience in a directly related field

  • Proficient in C and Visual Studio 

  • Fully conversant with laboratory operations, terms and technologies in Blood Sciences

  • Excellent interpersonal skills

  • Excellent presentation & communication skills

  • Demonstrated ability to collaborate cross-culturally

  • Process improvement methodologies e.g. Lean, Six Sigma, audit and change management

  • HCS Consulting tools
  • Can demonstrate co-operative working with all team members


Preferred Knowledge/Skills, Education, and Experience

  • Successful implementation of sustainable lean initiatives within a healthcare environment is highly preferred

  • Knowledge of Complex Modelling using Extend

  • Training experience

  • Certification in Lean process management is desirable
