Position Overview

This position is, Senior Manager, Training and standardization, Global HCS reporting to the Head of Global HCS. The incumbent’s responsibilities will be to:

  • Lead and direct all HCS quality management and training.  This position has substantial latitude to develop policies and programms for areas of responsibility in conjunction with the Global Head of HCS and HCS Regional Leads

  • Work in collaboration with the leadership of HCS, country heads and marketing / sales directors in order to carry out the mission of Siemens LD with the emphasis on maintaining the standards required for driving incremental sales through value-add solutions for our products and services and customer retention. 

Responsibilities
  • Monitor the regional commercial goals and developing training plans with the relevant Regional HCS Leads to address gaps in training that reduce the efficiency and effectiveness of the Regional HCS teams

  • Develop and execute training plans to effectively distribute know-how and best practices throughout the HCS Regional teams. With specific reference to training needs required to progress regions from HCS 1.0 to HCS 2.0 including Lean and the required competency to ensure standardised delivery of HCS engagement in all 3 customer phases - Pre-purchase, Transition Management including Change Management and Healthchecks

  • Manage the quality of HCS work performed by regular and direct liaison with the HCS Regional Leads

  • Liaise with Global PPM team members to ensure smooth implementation of the drawing approval process for current automation products and new products in development

  • Hold accountability for Atellica Mandate, Simulation and solution validation

  • Implement Atellica Success Program Initiatives to countries

  • Manage the internal HCS support escalation process - Monitoring to ensure resolution

  • Maintain all AutoCAD blocks and communicate updates

  • Facilitate the organisation of External Training (UoM Lean Certification, Lebro, Inpeco)

  • Work directly with Global HCS tool developers to ensure continued standard deployment globally of current HCS tools and drive development and roll out of new HCS tools for existing or new products

  • Support country/regional HCS with customer Lean/Transition Management/Change Management training engagements

  • Support VIP presentations, tradeshows, and industry events

  • 20% of travel required
 

Required Knowledge/Skills, Education, and Experience

  • Degree in Health Science, Engineering and/or Business Administration or at least 10 years of successful experience in a directly related field

  • Fully conversant with laboratory operations, terms and technologies in Blood Sciences

  • Process improvement methodologies e.g. Lean, Six Sigma, audit and change management

  • HCS Consulting tools
  • Healthcare industry and trends
  • Can demonstrate co-operative working with all team members

  • Understanding the commercial goals of the organisation

  • Presentation and communication skills
  • Workflow and applications of  Siemens LD portfolio
  • Interpersonal skills, able to question, suggest, build rapport and have a high credibility

  • Strategic selling, SPIN for Marketing and Sales

 

Preferred Knowledge/Skills, Education, and Experience

  • Successful implementation of sustainable lean initiatives within a healthcare environment is highly preferred

  • Some level of commercial selling experience in a complex selling situation is highly preferred

  • Certification in Lean process management is desirable
