Job Description:

Commodity and site Procurement strategies

Implement local Commodity strategies to ensure long-term, cost-efficient supply of materials in alignment with global commodity managers.

Define local strategies for site specific material and services. Monitor the specific market for these components and drive strategic decisions in cross functional business teams.

Prepare sourcing decisions with interface partners in order to incorporate technological know-how and safeguard security strategies. Define risk mitigation strategies as required.

Contribute in Business Line strategic projects and buying activities, support building up the site procurement strategy for the new production facility in Shanghai.

 

Standardization

Implement and ensure usage of globally defined methods, processes and systems to ensure high process efficiency and process compliance (e.g. compliant Purchase-to-Pay (P2P) process, Procurement guidelines, IT systems).

Drive the understating and usage or procurement processes and tools also outside procurement.

Using lean methodology to identify and implement process improvements in the procurement process.

Ensure and increase contract coverage of spend for direct and indirect material.

 

Monitor the markets worldwide

to create a basis for deciding the optimum sourcing strategy and cooperate with the best suppliers

 

Procurement strategies

Define and implement Procurement strategies (which are not covered by Commodity strategies) based on conducted demand, market and supplier analysis

to ensure long-term, cost-efficient and reliable on-time supply of materials in the required quality

 

Negotiations

Prepare and conduct negotiations to obtain highest feasible savings. Ensure required legal contract are in place, work together with the legal department on improved supplier contracts.

Improve contract coverage and best usage of available leverage contract in the area of responsibility.

 

 

Savings and relevant KPI

Generate, document and implement savings, e.g. CNI; plan, monitor and report on relevant KPI to contribute to the success of the business and make results transparent.

Include suppliers and contribute to cost-benefit analysis workshops, innovation workshops and concept competitions with key suppliers in order to concentrate on the key functions of the components/projects.

Drive improvements, productivities through the site productivity teams and relevant cross functional teams.

 

Supplier Management

Support Supplier Management processes (e.g. qualification, selection, evaluation, development, classification); update supplier evaluation systems to obtain and develop the best suppliers and ensure transparency.

Ensure local supply base complies with the rules and regulations of Siemens Healthineers.

Maintain relevant supplier data in the ERP system and other IT Systems of Siemes Healthineers as applicable.

 

 

Knowledge management

Participate in workgroups and work in projects in order to stay informed and keep and others informed, and exert influence at an early stage. Partner with cross functions on site, within Procurement and within the Business Area Diagnostics/Healthineers. Ensure a close cooperation with Internal Customers.

 

 

 

 

 

Required experience and education:

  • Minimum of 5 years work experiences with some years experiences in technical procurement, preferable in the area of Chemical Biological
  • BS/BA in related discipline, advanced degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Experiences in supplier interfacing, communication with supplier and project management
  • Professional negotiation experience and skills
  • Good understanding of procurement processes and tools, especially SAP.
  • Advanced technical skills assessing supplier capabilities
  • Complex problem resolution
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Global mindset & good networking skills
  • Self-determined and goal oriented, strategic, proactive and team player with the drive to implement changes 
  • Ability to travel 5-10%
