P58 is our new ERP and BI platform that globally harmonizes all our processes. Moving from 11 ERP instances to a single P58 instance will optimize functions, processes and structures that will result in faster adoption of market trends and will drive sustainable competitiveness. Master Data is the glue that sets the standards across our global enterprise driving data consistency, ensuring data quality in a highly regulated environment and empowers enhanced decision making and reduces operational risk.
The P58 Master Data Program Lead is an advocate for data to be treated like any other core business asset. They are passionate about data literacy and understand the importance of driving the master data program through the implementation of P58 globally across 60+ countries. This is an excellent opportunity to drive the Master Data Program through the P58 roll-out. You’ll have the opportunity to work closely with the P58 Project implementation team as well as cross-functional departments and country organizations and make a real difference by helping your fellow Healthineers unlock meaningful value from their data through the P58 implementation.
Responsibility will include implementation and support of business processes for our Material / Product Master Data Quality program utilizing existing IT solutions including SAP Information Steward (IS) and P61 (Master Data Governance) as it relates to the P58 country rollout. Focus will be on driving Data Quality by driving activities that includes baseline measurement, data profiling and cleansing to support the P58 country implementations. 
Reporting lines and location:
The P58 Master Data Program Lead will report to  Head of Data Governance  for the Laboratory Diagnostics Business Area of Siemens Healthineers. They will work in cross functional virtual team to support the P58 implementation across the globe. Success in this position requires the right mix of business acumen and organization, integrated process thinking, understanding of Master Data policies, product lifecycle knowledge and above all else strong interpersonal skills. The position will preferably be based at our headquarter offices in Tarrytown, New York but consideration will also be given to well qualified internal applicants local to the US East Coast or Erlangen, Germany
Specific Requirements / Job Description:
This position requires a hands-on approach to ensuring the successful migration of Master Data supporting the P58 implementation to all countries in scope. Initial focus is on ensuring SAP Material / Product Master Data integrity related to end-to-end sales and service activity in DX.
The ability to analyze and compare myriad data sources is a critical first step before field value clean-up can even begin. Legacy processes and organizational structures provide for a challenging multi-system environment which must first be understood through research and dialog with key business stakeholders.
A high percentage of the work will be spent doing active data cleansing, driving remediation efforts, and a range of activities that drive improvement of the data and contribute to the creation of an organizational culture directed at producing and sustaining high-quality data.
Understand the interdependencies/ relationships of the data flow with other systems, including P41, P61 (MDG), interfaces (PRODAT) and CRM/ MCMn. In doing so, ensure that the Master Data process supports the integrated information flow that supports the business.
It will also involve working with a wide range of data stakeholders, owners and Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) to define and refine common business rules as well as establishing and following up or executing data correction plans along with country business stewards ensuring actions are completed in alignment with P58 project timelines. 
  • Builds on the Master Data Program vision and owns supporting the P58 implementation roadmap across 60+ countries.
  • Represents Data Governance, participates and contributes P58 Project implementation discussions about the use, value and readiness of Master Data and transactional data elements
  • Maintains relationships with core business functions and country organizations to ensure awareness and understanding of Data Governance standards and policies through support of P58 implementation
P58 Program Support
  • Sees to it that relevant master data execution milestones are met to support realization of P58 across all Country organizations
  • Contributes to and supports the technical foundations and processes to ensure the readiness of Master Data for Country organizations
  • Coordinates with the Country Business Data Stewards to create and maintain a comprehensive Business Data Glossary (Enterprise Data Dictionary), to describe the definitions, ownership, business rules, and other characteristics such as systems and interfaces governing critical data elements.

  • Articulates and communicates the reasons why data is the fuel of scalable business processes.
  • Able to convincingly tell the ‘data story’ in context. Maintains real life case studies and other explanatory aids for use in presentations tailored for different levels of country business audiences.

Data Skills
  • SAP Business Super Users should apply – especially those with in depth working knowledge of the SAP Material Master and its integration with logistics modules.
  • Common knowledge of system environments and understand the information flow from SAP to CRM systems
  • A deep understanding of why insufficient data definition and training gaps cause process breakdowns.
  • Has been involved with SAP implementation or BI projects ideally in lead business side positions.
  • Demonstrates a profound ability to distill business process-driven data requirements and recommend solutions thereon leveraging a diverse network of business stakeholders
  • This role requires a strong aptitude for computer systems and software, ERPs and strong data analytical skills.
Industry experience / Career
  • Preference for candidates who already work or have extensive previous experience in medical diagnostics companies or similarly FDA regulated environments.
  • Career path evidences strong passion for end-to-end business processes.
  • Proven record of successful collaboration with IT and being the voice of the business.
Preferred Educational Requirements:
The ideal candidate should come with at least some of the below qualifications:
  • Bachelors degree in a related discipline such as Business, Engineering or Computer Science.
  • At least 10 years of relevant work experience may be considered for those without degrees.
  • ICCP Qualifications such as (1) Business Data Management Professional (BDMP), (2) Data Governance & Stewardship Professional (DGSP) or (3) Certified Data Professional (CDP-DM)
  • Project Management: CAPM, PMP or similar.
  • Functional certifications from SAP or accredited online training vendors.
Requirements for Business Travel and general working hours:
  • Must be generally available during regular US East Coast business hours.
  • Approximately 70% travel requirement. Domestic and International
  • Partially remote working possibilities will be extended to the right individual.
