Job Description:


The Compensation Strategy Manager is the key resource to drive Siemens Healthineers’ North American variable sales compensation program strategy to ensure that variable sales compensation plans are in line with key business objectives

Accountable for:

  • Compensation Plan Design

  • Plan Roll-out within defined timelines

  • Effective communication and deployment of plans

  • Ongoing monitoring of plan effectiveness and dashboarding


Core Responsibilities:


Lead Sales Compensation Plan Strategy for North America for assigned Business Areas:


  • Conduct sales compensation benchmark to determine alignment with market as well as effectiveness against external data

  • Develop sales compensation strategy that supports stated business objectives

  • Define actionable recommendations to improve  with sales/cost implications, modeled compensation impacts, and an implementation plan

  • Ensure that Strategic Compensation Objectives are reflected in Compensation Plan Design

  • Lead compensation plan design meetings with internal stakeholders to create aligned compensation plans for upcoming fiscal year

  • Develop and deploy sales compensation communication plan and material



Analyze Sales Compensation Plan Effectiveness

  • Drive Transparency through Dashboards, Presentations and Communication

  • Recommend corrective actions where Behaviors are not in line with Compensation Plan intentions

  • Suggest/Implement corrective actions in alignment with business leaders

  • Continuously drive for process improvements and simplifications in Compensation Plan design, communication and execution


Advanced data mining and visualization skills (Qlik/Tableau)

Strong project management and presentation skills

Ability to interact effectively with senior leadership

Highly proficient with Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint and collaboration tools (i.e. SharePoint)

CSCP or similar certification a plus

3+ years sales compensation expertise in plan design and best practices
