We are looking for an engineer who is an outgoing, ambitious, self-starter to join our marketing team as a technical marketing engineer. This person will be responsible for conducting a variety of go-to-market strategies that support our award winning DCS (distributed control system) for customer development. The individual will conduct primary and secondary research programs designed to uncover market trends, customer needs, and competitive advantages.
The successful candidate will be able to translate market research into actionable marketing programs including the development of sales tools, marketing collateral and execution of digital campaigns focused for the process industries.
The technical marketing engineer will have the opportunity to work across a global organization, coordinating and collaborating with a wide variety of groups including marketing communications (Marcom), vertical industry marketing (Chemical, Pharmaceutical, etc.) as well as sales and technical consultants.
The technical marketing engineer will be measured on demand generation metrics, new customer conversions, marketing program execution and business segment growth.
The position will report directly to the Marketing Manager – Automation & Engineering
Support new customer generation for process automation business including the development and measurement of key performance indicators (lead quality, opportunity creation, customer conversion)
Develop marketing collateral for specific applications/industries and train sales personnel on features, customer benefits and market validation
Identify and position specific product features and benefits from our broad portfolio to a diverse customer base
Manage and oversee our digital marketing campaigns (website, e-blasts, online ads, etc.)
Work with marketing, sales and engineering personnel to maximize program impact
Participate and coordinate with department marketing programs to expand user base
Required Knowledge/Skills, Education, and Experience
Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Engineering Studies or Engineering Technology
Entry level with strong interest in process automation market
0 to 3 years of industry experience
This position requires up to 10% travel
Good writing and presentation skills
Creativity and expression
