Position Overview


Are you interested in helping build the transportation infrastructure of Chicago’s future? Please join us as the lead quality assurance professional coordinating all aspects of delivery quality of the train truck and propulsion equipment. You will be supporting ongoing communication with the entire supply chain and quickly respond/ resolve issues that come up. You will drive embedded QA inspection activities to ensure efficient and effective delivery to our onsite customer. You will partner with the onsite team to resolve issues and will work with the Quality Manager in Project.




  • Conduct daily receipt of material, and ensure it is complete and in good order
  • Ensure that all systems have the full required test and quality reports
  • Coordination of receiving dock and receiving inspection
  • Coordinate daily delivery of material to our customer with all required paperwork and reports
  • Respond to customer requests for review of material and documentation
  • Initiate and coordinate nonconforming material review
  • Provide up to date status in various systems

Required Knowledge/Skills, Education, and Experience


  • High School diploma
  • 5 years experience in manufacturing highly engineered mechanical, electromechanical systems
  • 5 years experience in quality assurance procedures in a manufacturing environment
  • Experience with large scale shipping and receiving services
  • Enterprise resource planning, receiving, planning material, workorders and consumption
  • Microsoft office skills: Excel, Outlook, Word and PowerPoint
  • Good writing skills for reporting and some presentations

Preferred Knowledge/Skills, Education, and Experience


  • Experience in rail vehicles
  • ASQ Certified Quality Technician, Certified Quality Inspector, Certified Improvement Associate
  • Experience in Electric Power
  • Associate or Engineering Degree
  • Shipping and Receiving experience
