Job Description:

Position Overview 
The Procurement Manager will lead a team of Procurement Specialist / Buyers and is responsible for driving key Procurement KPI’s to ensure
the success of our business.  In this role, you will partner collaboratively with cross-functions, and implement procurement
strategies and policies while applying a structured approach. After projects are won, you will support execution from the selected supply chains, and help maintain performance and profitability through
completion of the projects. You will achieve your objectives by demonstrating a clear understanding of the Procurement processes, good communications skills, proactive
and entrepreneurial mindset.  This role reports directly to the Sr. Director of Procurement. This opportunity is based in Sacramento, California.


  • Direct the activities of the Procurement Team to accomplish department objectives
  • Coach and mentor Procurement Team to achieve improvement goals and prepare for the future state of procurement 
  • Drive the team of Procurement Specialists/ Buyers to meet critical KPI’s
  • Implement leadership reports, providing tracking on key departmental priorities
  • Lead/manage interactions with key stakeholders and cross functions
  • Collaborate effectively across different organizational levels, functions to realize procurement goals and objectives.Documenting and communicating the supply chain strategy to all concerned using proper tools
  • Quickly develop a knowledge of all company procurement systems, processes and critical data elements and standards 
  • Conduct current state assessments to identify
    gaps to procedures and systems including developing and implementing gap resolution
    / implementation plans 
  • Develop/Update training material as required
  • Execute implementation plans to deliver quality results within defined timelines
  • Select, develop and evaluate personnel to ensure efficient operations
  • Solve complex problems in which analysis of data or situations require in-depth evaluation
  • Build and monitor team budgets, schedules and performance requirements
  • Lead a team of up to 10 Procurement Specialists
Required Knowledge/Skills, Education, and Experience
  • 8+ years of experience within procurement and SAP 
  • Master in Supply Chain Management/Business Administration or related field or equivalent experience
  • Comprehensive understanding of Supply Chain and Material Management processes and systems
  • Strong Digitalization skillset and abilities; experience to design and lead digitalization projects in supply chain management
  • Proficiency in SAP application and Microsoft Office Excel, ability to learn and utilize very quickly further tools
  • Results Orientated 
  • Strong Collaborative Skills, Positive Attitude, High Energy 
  • Comfort/familiarity with constructing presentations, organization communications, and business cases
  • Strong ability to build relationships and networks with multiple functions and at the leadership levels
  • Strong leadership, analytical capabilities and negotiation skills
  • A deep understanding of global procurement operations
  • Passion for developing a high performance organization 
  • Strong detail orientation and cost reduction/process improvement focus
