Virtual Education Solutions (VES) organization is responsible for the development and transfer of education and training curriculum for both In-vivo and In-vitro Customers and Sales specialists, along with education innovation and services for the healthcare professional.  All individuals in VES work cross functionally with a network of subject matter experts and functions, including but not limited to: Product Marketing, Communications, Creative Resources, Branding, Second Level Support, Research & Development, Global Commercialization teams, and other groups in the education and Services. Direction for VES is provided by establishing annual strategic imperatives. These imperatives will create the foundation of tactical initiatives for continued improvement in medical device virtual education, performance support and cloud-based services, customer relationships, method penetration, cash-flow, productivity, and building organizational excellence. 


Job Description -

As a member of VES, the Marketing Specialist is responsible for tactical internal and external marketing activities for HILS, PEPconnect, education portfolio and future services.  Taking strategic and operational direction from the Marketing Manager of VES, the Marketing Specialist actively participates with the St Manager of VES and subject matter networks to develop global Marketing Strategies for VES products, solutions and services, interact with Global Community, and deliver to the internal organization and deployed to the external customer. The Marketing Coordinator works with the Manager of VES, SC Apps Communications and respective partners on communications and channel management strategies, in support of existing and new VES products, as well as Siemens Healthineers systems The Marketing Specialist interacts on with Headquarters, Global and Local Marketing and Product or Project related counterparts. The Marketing Specialist fulfills diverse assignments that support departmental and business needs as outlined below.


a. Market Research:  Conduct Market Research in Healthcare Education and Services research, whether new innovations and trends, or competitive analysis in of VES and Applications strategies.  Support Global Sr Marketing Manager in development of tactics to support Marketing Strategy.  Documentation and education development from research required to distribute to the global audience.  Provide Quarterly updates on Competitive Landscape. 

b. Marketing Analytics:  Conduct data development, meta-data mining, sales and business analysis, market research analysis.  Recommend marketing tactics, strategies, content or practices based on data analysis.  Ensure all data is accurate and timely from source systems, and consistent with previously reports results.  Report on Marketing KPIs on Quarterly basis.  Support VES, Business Area and Business Line Managers are various reports.  Visualize data for presentations and executive review.    Provide additional administrative and reporting activities.

c. Social and Virtual Channel:  Evaluate new Social Channels and Technologies for internal and external Marketing and Communications and recommend new channels.. Plan and manage all virtual Marketing and Communications, from social network sites, internal social sites, internet and intranet, and partnership with virtual web spaces, in alignment and partnership with Communications, Quality and Branding. 

d. Collateral, Tool and Presentations:  Partner with team, whether for VES internal needs, or Communications for Country or external needs, to create Sales Collateral for Customers, Sales Tools for internal use or VES Presentations on HILS, PEPconnect or other topics.  Update of existing collateral, documentation and presentations.  Responsible for Content Availability activities across entire VES portfolio.  Responsible for branding alignment and quality tracking. Work with vendors on posting, printing and other distribution needs.  Support internal employees on presentation and customer facing event needs

e. Customer Relations, Meetings, Tradeshows/Congresses:  Manage customer questions, feedback and insights.  Ensure accurate messaging and clear follow-up.  Liaison across the business for Customer facing opportunities.  Support VES, Event Planning and Portfolio Managers for Global Meetings, Tradeshow and Congress Planning activities Coordinate VES activities for VIPs and other Customer activities or Partner visits.  Support all Sales and Marketing activities


f.  Marketing Strategy, Product Launch, and Country Management Support:  Support design and development of Marketing Strategies for new Virtual Education Options.  Manage global launches and country rollout strategies, from coordination through project management, working with Global and local counterparts.  Liaise and maintain global and local marketing relationships supporting current and future virtual education portfolio.

From time to time, the Marketing Coordinator’s supervisor/manager may assign additional unlisted duties/responsibilities on a temporary or regular basis depending on business needs.

Marketing Specialist is responsible for understanding the Quality Management System. Individual needs to integrate their knowledge of the quality policy and business objectives into their work practices to augment the business such as: participating in internal audits, identifying areas which need improvement, implementing plans to correct and prevent problems. Incumbent is required to meet all Quality Management System requirements for the functional group and Siemens Healthineers.

Marketing Specialist is responsible for understanding all Marketing and Communication Processes, as well as Branding Standards for Healthcare knowledge of all Education Consultant Processes (Product Development Processes) and Innovation and Development for holistic view to support VES Product and Siemens Healthineers Product Marketing activities.   Individual needs to integrate their knowledge of their work practices to augment the business such as: participating in Marketing and Communications meetings, conducting research, leading project teams and meetings, maintaining project plans, and developing VES marketing plans in support of product launch initiatives

Education – Bachelor’s degree in Marketing or Business– or discipline related to these areas plus formal coursework or experience in designing and delivering instruction.


·         2 - 5 years professional experience with increasing responsibility and various assignments in Marketing with proven track record.

·         Demonstrates and applies a broad knowledge of field of specialization through successful completion of moderately complex assignments.

·         Successfully applies complex knowledge of fundamental concepts, practices, and procedures of particular area of specialization.

·         Requires high degree of interpersonal communications for negotiation, team leading, network management, and presentations.

·         Project planning and management skills essential for the numerous team projects required.

·         Requires experience with leading edge training tools and technologies in graphics, computer-based training, and production of presentation materials.

Experience with statistical analysis tools and methods for evaluating training needs and effectiveness desired. Must be committed to on-going intellectual and professional development, including knowledge of current and emerging technology.
