Position Overview

This Human Resources Business Partner position will be the key HR account manager for the Gas and Power Division:  you will be located in Orlando, FL supporting Region Latin America, Long-Term Programs, Hub Sales and Field Service Operations.  You will partner directly with the segment and sub-segment management teams to deliver consultative HR services aligned to the business strategy.  You will also serve as an advocate for a population of approximately 600 employees. In this position you will have the ability to understand the business, the strategy and the mission to deliver integrated Human Resources management services and programs across the business.
In this position you will provide a full range of Human Resources support and expertise to the Service Power Generation (SPG) business unit. As a trusted partner and member of the local senior leadership team, you will bring deep insight, an independent viewpoint and HR expertise to business issues.
•Proactively drive HR strategy within organization as aligned with business goals.

•Partner with the HR organization for the talent management process, including annual talent reviews and organization planning to accelerate leadership development at all levels in the organization.

•Promote and champion diversity efforts in hiring, promotion, job rotations, etc.

•Implement employee relations strategies and communication designed to create an environment that drives maximum individual and team success and facilitate resolution of employee relations issues.

•Partner with the leadership team to increase focus on performance management to maximize employee contributions and to proactively address performance issues.

•Partner with HR Advisors and Shared Services team on escalated questions regarding payroll, workers compensation, leave of absences, investigations, policies, etc.

•Provide counsel to managers and employees consistent with Siemens policies.

•Identify needs for change management and champion related activities.

•Travel approximately 10-15%, mainly domestic.

Required Knowledge/Skills, Education, and Experience
The successful candidate will possess:
•BS/BA in related discipline required, advanced degree a plus.

•10+ years of successful experience in a human resources business partner capacity with successful demonstration of the key responsibilities as presented above.

•The proven ability to work in a highly matrixed and complex organization.   

•The proven ability to prioritize rapidly; strong problem solving skills; excellent decision making/analysis skills; ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.

•The proven ability to communicate effectively; in both written and oral presentation skills.

•The proven ability to develop and leverage relationships with a remote employee population.

•The ability to develop strong trusting relationships in order to gain support and achieve results and to manage multiple conflicting priorities.

•The ability to be flexible, self-directed, motivated, and able to interact with employees at all levels. Be prepared to also support and consult managers and employees in the administration, interpretation and application of policies and procedures.

•The proven ability to research and analyze information, make recommendations to effectively resolve problems or issues, by using judgment that is in consistent with standards, practices, policies, procedures, regulation or government law.

•The proven ability to objectively coach employees and management through routine and complex employee relations matters.

•The proven ability to demonstrate leadership skills, professionalism and a positive team attitude.

•The ability to work in a changing environment and help lead others through the phases of change.

Preferred Knowledge/Skills, Education, and Experience

•Master’s degree in Human Resources Management or Business Administration

•Knowledge and experience in Energy Markets
