Job Description:

Siemens Postal, Parcel & Airport Logistics is seeking an experienced Senior Electrical Systems Engineer. The successful candidate must have a proven track record in the electrical engineering field, specifically with complex integrated systems and machinery. Typically 8-10 years of successful experience in related field and successful demonstration of Key Responsibilities and Knowledge as presented below.
(Power Utilities or Telecom experience is not considered relevant.)
Technical Experience
U.S. and international safety codes and regulations with specific experience in the application of NFPA 70, NFPA79 and UL 60950
Enclosure design in accordance with UL 508A
Power distribution systems including DC and poly-phase AC systems (600 VAC and below)
Selection and application of machine safety systems
Motor controls including dynamic braking of induction motors and servo applications
Sensor selection
ESD and EMI principles and system grounding concepts
Creation of detailed, accurate technical data packages including schematics, assembly drawings and bills of material
Proficiency in the use AutoCAD
Effective verbal and written communications skills which include proficiency with Microsoft Word generating clear and concise specifications
Experience with product structure, generation / management of structured Bills of Materials (BOM) and the use of enterprise business management tools such as SAP.
Cable/harness design, experience with UG NX3 Routing is a plus

Must possess executive level presentation skills.
Education. BS/BA in Electrical Engineer. Typically 8-10 years of successful experience in related field and successful demonstration of Key Responsibilities and Knowledge as presented above. Advanced degree MAY be substituted for experience, where applicable.
