Job Description:

Manage the data analytics and Continuous Controls Monitoring (CCM) program within the Controls Management department of the Company by developing, executing and ensuring quality assurance of the data analysis solutions as part of the CCM program to support a wide range of business objectives including internal control over financial reporting, operational controls, compliance, risk management, business process effectiveness/efficiency, revenue assurance and cost containment.   


Responsibilities: 

  • Design, develop, execute and manage data analytics built in ACL script format to satisfy business objectives to identify exceptions or provide alerts to enable timely correction to mitigate risks to the business.
  • Performs risk based analysis to identify and prioritize required data analytics to be developed to satisfy business owner requests and mitigate Company's risks.

  • Identifies necessary data sets needed to be imported and extracted within data analytics and conducts interviews with necessary IT resources to facilitate obtaining the required data.

  • Uses various data analysis techniques and/or audit experience to design, develop, execute, and analyze the wide array of data components including business transactions, master tables, authority limits, data completeness, data integrity, and data quality. 

  • Monitor and follow-up with business owners of the analytics regarding closure of the outstanding

  • Design, develop, execute and manage data analytics built in ACL script format to satisfy business objectives to identify exceptions or provide alerts to enable timely correction to mitigate risks to the business.
  • Performs risk based analysis to identify and prioritize required data analytics to be developed to satisfy business owner requests and mitigate Company's risks.

  • Identifies necessary data sets needed to be imported and extracted within data analytics and conducts interviews with necessary IT resources to facilitate obtaining the required data.

  • Uses various data analysis techniques and/or audit experience to design, develop, execute, and analyze the wide array of data components including business transactions, master tables, authority limits, data completeness, data integrity, and data quality. 

  • Manages and ensures the proper functioning of the CCM program and engine and institutes improvements or enhancements.

  • Summarizes and analyzes key trends arising from the CCM results to develop appropriate reporting and identify strategic initiatives or next steps.

  • Proactively design and implement data analytic solutions to drive automation for the business including process, controls, testing of controls, and monitoring.

  • Effectively analyzes, classifies and documents business owner functional and technical requirements.

  • Develop solutions and recommendations for improving processes and controls resulting from the understanding of the business and identifying the results and conclusions coming from the analytics.

  • Design and proactively support the fulfillment of obligations of the Company control programs (SOX and Risk and Internal Controls (RIC)) through participation in analysis, testing, monitoring, or mechanization of data analytics to meet such business or control objectives.      


Qualifications:

  • BA/BS in Accounting, Auditing, Finance or equivalent

  • Professional accreditations (Required) - ACL Certified Data Analyst (ACDA)

  • Minimum 8-10+ years of direct experience using ACL at an advanced/mastery level involving script development including applied working experience in audit, internal controls or risk management methodologies or functions. 

  • Strong knowledge of working with and understanding database structures, techniques, architecture  and relationships including data and systems integration and security principles.

  • Well-established understanding of audit principles and testing methodologies to offer effective solutions to validate and monitor effectiveness and efficiency of controls.

  • Strong presentation, communication (verbal and written) and networking skills in order to facilitate interviews and workshops to understand business requirements, evaluate workflow processes and design effective solutions to meet owner expectations and requests.

  • Demonstrates effective project management including time-management and multi-tasking.

  • PC proficiency including knowledge of MS Excel, Word, PowerPoint.

  • Travel estimates 10-20%.
