Position Overview:

Our Service organization is looking for a technical, legal, and commercially savvy Head of Warranty Management to join our team in Orlando, Florida. The Head of Warranty Management will be responsible for closure of warranty and any claims that arise during warranty period.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Managing entire regional warranty management function in our Service organization

  • Leading a team by setting expectations, coaching and empowering to achieve results

  • Working closely with all internal and external customers to ensure timely closure of warranty claims and concerns

  • Collaborating with internal partners to develop new and improve existing warranty management processes and procedures with a drive to reduce warranty spend

  • Partnering with internal finance teams to bring visibility into warranty activities

  • Leading high-level negotiations with customers on complex topics

  • Maintaining proper warranty records/documentation to ensure contract compliance and warranty requirements

 

Required Knowledge/Skills, Experience, and Education:

  • 5+ years of management experience with a proven track record in leading a team while driving accountability throughout

  • 8+ years of experience working in engineering, warranty management, sales, or legal

  • Wind Power industry experience

  • Proven team player and collaborator with all levels of staff

  • Successful track record of operating commercially and executing plans effectively

  • Ability and desire to negotiate warranty claims with internal and external customers

  • Strong communication skills (written and oral)

  • Ability to effectively present information internally and externally

  • Proven experience working in fast paced, high visibility environment

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university

  • Strong MS Office (word, power point, excel) skills

  • Estimated 10-20% of travel

 

Preferred Knowledge/Skills, Experience, and Education:

  • BS/BA or MS degree in Engineering, Business Administration or Law

  • Bilingual in English and Spanish

  • Strong Project Management experience (PMP certificate is a plus)

  • Experience with merges and acquisitions
