Our Boston, MA office is looking for a US Offshore Sales Project Manager to join our team!


  • As US Sales Project Manager in our Business Unit Offshore, you will have overall responsibility for managing the sales project team during the sales phase.

  • The position will have overall responsibility for developing a solution package in response to customer tenders and contract negotiations, through internal coordination across functional areas to ensure an optimized overall solution based on individual work packages. Position is instrumental in motivating the sales team and creating an environment for success in a fast paced and very professional environment.

  • Reports to Vice President, US Offshore Sales


Responsibilities


  • Timely, competitive and compliant submission of tenders to customers

  • Negotiation and conclusion of customer contracts

  • Project planning, reporting and follow up

  • Adherence to Siemens Gamesa’s sales processes including management approval

  • Motivating, supporting and developing a high performing sales project team

  • Setting clear targets for team members, tracking progress and ensuring timely delivery

  • Facilitating interdisciplinary cooperation

  • Ensuring risks are fully assessed and approved by management

  • Understanding US customer requirements and developing bid/negotiation strategies, ensuring that customer requirements are reflected in both costing and planning

  • Ensuring successful handover to Project Management upon contract signature


Required Knowledge/Skills, Education, and Experience


  • Extensive experience in international large-scale Project Management and/or Project Sales, within the electric energy industry

  • People management skills and ability to motive and engage team members/colleagues

  • 5+ years of project management experience in complex projects

  • Personal organization and effectiveness

  • Relevant technical experience, skills or education

  • Proven negotiation experience 

  • Understanding of contractual terms & conditions

  • Knowledge of risk management and mitigation

  • Understanding of financial statements and project economics

  • Fluent in English, both written and spoken

  • BS degree in Engineering, Business Administration or other technical field, advanced degree

  • Approximately 25% travel required


Preferred Knowledge/Skills, Education, and Experience


  • Understanding of wind projects and Siemens Gamesa’s offshore product portfolio

  • 10+ years relevant wind industry experience

  • Advanced degree

  • Project Management Professional certificate
