Position Overview

 

The Industrial Operations Quality Engineer will play an integral role in developing and monitoring key quality indicators at US production factories. 

 

This position is part of the Onshore Americas QM&EHS organization and will report to the Industrial Operations Quality Manager and will interface closely with plant personnel.

 
 
 
  • Serve as an interface between regional and corporate functions and plant quality

  • Work with factory management to identify priorities, targets, risks, and opportunities

  • Lead and support root cause analyses through corrective actions and verification

  • Support documentation management for the plants

  • Develop and implement regional processes

  • Build cross-functional teams to solve problems and accomplish regional goals

  • Continuously review project NCRs to identify and address plant-related issues

  • Perform product inspections at production facilities as appropriate

  • Support plants in maintaining QMS and IMS compliance

  • Make routine visits to production facilities




Required Knowledge/Skills, Education, and Experience

 

Bachelor’s Degree

Minimum 3 years’ experience in quality management or quality assurance with experience in root cause analysis
Team-oriented and collaborative
Fast learner

Ability to work independently

Strong communication and organizational skills

Proficient in MS Office tools (excel, word, PowerPoint)

  

Preferred Knowledge/Skills, Education, and Experience


BS in Mechanical Engineering

Familiar with 8D concepts

Ability to communicate with all levels from factory floor to management

Six Sigma Green Belt

Working knowledge of PFMEA’s and control plans

Working knowledge of ISO9001

Fluent bilingual English/Spanish (Written and spoken)

 

*Ability to travel 25%
