Job Description:

As a Commercial Contract Manager, you will primarily support negotiation and drafting of commercial contracts for the provision of new equipment and a limited amount of after-market goods and services.   You will be expected to suggest innovative ways to deal with contract requirements, negotiations, obligations, and exposures to business partners. This includes to following tasks:

• Write, review, analyze, modify and negotiate contractual documents to achieve acceptable risk levels. Support to business sales team in customer setting.
• Write, review, analyze, modify and negotiate, memoranda of understanding, confidentiality agreements, letters of intent, changes to existing agreements for equipment, projects and some service agreements and other contractual terms and conditions.
• Summarize and prepare contractual risk summaries for review and approval by management.
• Collaborate with legal and contract team members in other Siemens entities and outside counsel to support contracts for domestic and international customers
The position will be based out of Siemens’ offices in Houston, Texas and will primarily support Siemens businesses throughout North America. Support of Latin America opportunities may also be regularly required.

EDUCATION
BS/BA College Degree Required
Juris Doctorate or equivalent from other country preferred (LL.M)

REQUIRED SKILLS AND COMPETENCIES
Minimum of 5 years of legal / contract management experience in a law firm or corporate in-house position; drafting and negotiating contracts in an energy / construction contracts environment or equivalent litigation experience.
Strong negotiation skills, detail oriented, able to handle multiple demands at the same time.
Strong Customer Orientation.
Pragmatic approach to problem solving and strong flexibility to adjust to changing requirements, schedules and priorities.
Team player who can also work independently and thrives in a fast-paced environment.
Able to communicate clearly and concisely with a range of colleagues, business partners and senior executives.
Excellent communication, writing, and facilitation skills.
Ability to travel up to 15% domestically or internationally.
Highly proficient technical skills in MS Office Suite.
Spanish language skills (verbal and written) required
