Microbiologist (Intern)

This intern microbiology position will give the intern the opportunity to work with a the published Senior Microbiologist at PETNET Solutions.

Responsibilities

 

The Microbiologist Intern will report directly to the Director of Quality, but will primarily aid the Quality department's Senior Microbiologist in various daily tasks including the roll out of a new electronic system that collects microbiological data from over 40 manufacturing sites in the US.

 

Perform preliminary review for the Sr. Microbiologist by reviewing environmental monitoring investigation reports for key information and assure they meet acceptance criteria, have identified root cause, and list measures to prevent recurrence of the investigation. Aid in development and oversight of key performance indicators for the new electronic Environmental Monitoring System.

Required Knowledge/Skills, Education, and Experience

This internship will be expose the student to the industrial use of microbiology, technical writing, , Quality Assurance, Code of Federal Regulations and the drug manufacturing industry and drug manufacturing professionals.

  • Education (Preferred intern is pursuant of or has Microbiology/Biology/Bio. Chemistry degree preferred). Junior level or higher.
  • Preferred Skills include:
  • Strong communication and presentation skills
  • Technical Writing
  • Proficiency in Excel (including number of years)
  • No travel expected with the position
