Are you ready to investigate and resolve customer concerns with diagnostic test performance in the context of a cross functional team environment?
This is a role well suited to an ambitious professional, looking for the next step in their career. As a Biochemist 2, you will be responsible for leading / participating in the investigations of customer escalations and/or manufacturing issues and support critical business need of HYDRA and Atellica projects.
Responsibilities/ Scope of work includes:
You will coordinate and carry out technical investigations
You will lead and support in the implementation of corrective and preventive actions
You will support team members on HYDRA and Atellica projects
You will create and participate in the design of experiments
You will coordinate and perform data analysis and writes internal reports and documentation
You will lead and support change projects as required by the business needs
Will you coordinate and perform investigations following established guidance documents and protocols
You will prepare summary reports regarding investigations and projects; as well as leads presentations of projects to the a team or directly investigate current assay performance vs alternative applications in the field
You may lead a team to directly investigate the performance of raw materials used in the manufacture of immunoassays
You will work in the laboratory operating the Centaur family of instruments and Atellica instruments with serum and other biological fluids of human and animal origin
You may conduct literature searches to help respond to customer escalations

Advanced Degree in Medical Technology, Biology, Biochemistry, or Chemistry
Protein Chemistry and chromatography knowledge and experience
Experience with automated immunoassay analyzers and/or ELISA and chemiluminescent technology
Demonstrated ability to lead a team effectively to drive critical business and/or customer needs
Proficiency with Microsoft Office Applications and Statistical Software such as Minitab
Industrial diagnostics test development or support such as Clinical Laboratory or Medical Technology experience
Required skills to have for the success of this role
- BS in Medical Technology, Biology, Biochemistry, or Chemistry
- Typical job related experience: 6+ years
- Strong understanding and knowledge of polyclonal and monoclonal antibodies and principles of immunodiagnostic technology as well as experience with immunoassays
- Proven ability to interpret data and to troubleshoot and resolve technical issues
- Ability to effectively prioritize and manage multiple assignments with the flexibility to switch priorities to meet business needs
- Strong work ethic, excellent written and communication skills and ability to work as a project leader as well as an independent contributor
