This Human Resources Business Partner position will be the key HR account manager for the Gas and Power Division: The successful incumbent to this position will be located in Pittsburgh, PA supporting the Pittsburgh Service Center operation. This position will partner directly with the management teams to deliver consultative HR services aligned to the business strategy. The HR Business Partner will also serve as an advocate for a population of approximately 400 employees. The candidate will have the ability to understand the business, the strategy and the mission to deliver integrated Human Resources management services and programs across the business.
The position will provide a full range of Human Resources support and expertise to the Service Power Generation (SPG) business unit including:
As a trusted partner to and a member of the local senior leadership team, brings deep insight, an independent viewpoint and HR expertise to business issues.
•Proactively drive HR strategy within organization as aligned with business goals.
•Partner with the HR organization for the talent management process, including annual talent reviews and organization planning to accelerate leadership development at all levels in the organization.
•Promote and champion diversity efforts in hiring, promotion, job rotations, etc.
•Implement employee relations strategies and communication designed to create an environment that drives maximum individual and team success and facilitate resolution of employee relations issues
•Partner with the leadership team to increase focus on performance management to maximize employee contributions and to proactively address performance issues.
•Partner with HR Advisors and Shared Services efforts on escalated questions regarding payroll, workers compensation, leave of absences, investigations, policies, etc.
•Provide counsel to managers and employees consistent with Siemens policies.
•Identify needs for change management and champion related activities
•Travel approximately 10-15% of the time.
•BS/BA in related discipline required, advanced degree a plus.
•8+ years of successful experience in a human resources business partner capacity with successful demonstration of the key responsibilities as presented above.
•Must have HR Business Partner experience
•Must have Labor Relations experience
•The proven ability to work in a highly matrixed and remote organization.
•The proven ability to prioritize rapidly; strong problem solving skills; excellent decision making/analysis skills; ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
•The proven ability to communicate effectively; in both written and oral presentation skills.
•The proven ability to develop and leverage relationships with a remote employee population.
•The ability to develop strong trusting relationships in order to gain support and achieve results and to manage multiple conflicting priorities.
Preferred Knowledge/Skills, Education, and Experience:
