The Regional Sales Manager - Will lead the North region IDSS sales team, focusing on Integrated Drives Solutions and Services. The portfolio primarily covers Medium and low voltage motors and drives, solutions (Fiber, Minerals, Oil and Gas) and all related services. This IDSS Region Manager is responsible for growing profitable market share in the region through existing customers as well as developing new markets and development accounts.

Specific responsibilities to be quickly/effectively instituted:

  • Implement sales force effectiveness (CRM) by driving profitable share gains through cross selling the Siemens IDSS portfolio to Industrial customers.
  • Align all selling and business unit resources to support Value Propositions for targeted market segments
  • Proactively work across other Siemens teams (eg: Construction, TIP, TIA) to leverage complimentary resources, solutions and or channels to obtain profitable growth and market share.
  • Talent development of all sales professionals in the region.
  • Provide leadership and drive sales process effectiveness through partnering with support teams to include Siemens Industry Business Units for maximum impact in the region.

The ideal candidate will have at least 10 years personal sales experience together with a minimum of 10 years in a sales management position and can demonstrate a successful track record in a Sales Leadership role.


Previous experience within the Motors and Drives market is required, understanding and experience in selling into the Industrial market is also a requirement.  Demonstrated track record of effectively navigating highly matrixed organizations including culture and processes is critical to success of this key position.

  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment, working with direct and matrixed resources to ensure customer satisfaction and profitable growth
  • Successful track record of developing talent and building effective teams
  • Proven track record of success operating with multiple channels to market including: direct sales, reps, distributors, solution providers

Must demonstrate strong leadership skills, be strategic and possess an excellent understanding of our customers, markets, business operations, culture and values. Must be willing to take measured risk, and demonstrate the ability to act with a sense of urgency without sacrificing quality and excellence. Highly articulate with excellent communication skills are critical success factors in this senior sales position.

Excellent written and verbal skills are a must.  Must be a good active listener and seek input from others, yet be decisive and effective in decision-making.  The ideal candidates must thrive on change and continuous improvement in our complex, fast-paced environment.
