Job Description:

Key Responsibilities:


  • Single Point of Contact (SPOC) for the SGRE ON AM NA TE team via 4.X Platform/IPT Technology Team to provide expedited Platform support during the execution phase of the projects.


  • Partner with Regional Platform Launch Manager for launching the new product in the Region (SPOC for all things Technology to the Launch Manager)


  • Manage, own, track and report  within the Platform/IPT the regional engineering requests


  • Assure quick and efficient implementation of lessons learned of same and other platforms in new products.


  • Lead, prioritize, track and monitor on-time Regional Technology PBS requirements and developments with the Platform/IPTs.


  • Provide Regional Technology support for Prototype Implementation/Testing


  • Provide Technology Internal & Customer Documentation


  • Ensure new product meets Regional Codes and Standards


  • Provide technical field support of new products for projects, factories and suppliers/vendors, including qualification efforts


  • Provide disposition to non-conformance requests during construction and commissioning, as well as RCA/8D IPT representative in the region.


  • Lead Regional Technology cost out efforts for new product


  • Prioritize and Manage Regionalization/Project Specific design requirements within Technology


  • Work closely with the Technology  PDP development process for the new product as it applies to the Region


  • Transfer lessons learned to future PRS and Development Teams



Successful candidates are required to possess the following:


  • Educational background in Aerospace, Mechanical, Electrical or Civil Engineering (BS or MS level)
  • Over 8 years of experience in wind technology (Engineering, R&D, Service Technology)
  • Have cross-disciplinary understanding of the wind turbine design process and overall value-chain
  • Knowledge and experience in product development processes
  • Ability to solve difficult technical challenges through innovation, dedication and cooperation with a global team
  • Ability to work and thrive both independently and in a team environment
  • Have a systematic and well-organized approach, and maintain solid oversight of projects
  • Strong verbal and written communication and presentation skills
  • Previous experience in cross functional and international teams
  • Experience in technical leadership and mentorship
  • Proficient in Spanish language a strong plus
  • Flexibility in travel (able to go to Spain for a couple of months training, then factories (China nacelle factory, Hutchinson factory), field installation, etc.….. lots of travel the first year)
