Position Overview:
 

Gas and Power Service Controls and Digitalization (SCD) is seeking a Senior Quality, Environmental, Health, and Safety (QEHS) Professional at its Alpharetta, Georgia facility. This position is based in Alpharetta, Georgia, in addition to this location the person will support Loveland, Co. and Houston, TX.

 

The QEHS professional will report directly to the Head of Region North America Service Controls and Digital and indirectly to the Business Unit EHS Officer

 
 
Responsibilities:
  • Lead cross functional teams related to QEHS targets and objectives  
  • Maintain and implement QEHS programs and processes
  • Demonstrating operational knowledge of facilities by proactively contributing to continuous improvement efforts
  • Participate in audit activities (internal and external) and reviews necessary to meet company and regulatory requirements including identification of QEHS issues and implementation of corrective actions (Audits include but may not be limited to: Regulatory Compliance audits, Customer Audits, Supplier Audits, Process Safety Management/Risk Management Program Audits, and management systems audits (ISO 9001, ISO14001:2015, and OHSAS 18001/45001))
    • Maintain EHS Aspect Table for location (s)
    • Conduct Management Reviews within area of responsibility yearly
  • Responsible for identification and timely submission of all applicable required EHS permits, licenses and registrations
  • Measuring performance of facilities’ compliance within the business to established standards
  • Drive strong reporting culture for all levels of incidents utilizing EHS reporting tool
  • Conducting and managing EHS incident investigations, including tracking and record-keeping requirements
 
   

 Required Knowledge/Skills, Education, and Experience:

  • BS/BA degree in a related discipline, or equivalent years of experience
  • 8-10 years of EHS experience implementing EHS programs or policies
  • Experience with QEHS management systems, ISO 9001,14001:2005, OHSAS18001/ISO45001, ergonomics, incident investigation processes, job hazard analyses, and behavior-based safety concepts as well as experience delivering core safety programs
  • Strong working knowledge of state and federal EHS regulations and standards
  • Participate in internal and external EHS process audits at the site to ensure compliance with EHS regulations and conformance withOHSAS18001/ISO45001
  • Ability to facilitate training and motivate employees
  • Strong interpersonal and superior communication/presentation skills, both oral and written
  • Experience leading a team
  • Strong organizational and analytical skills
  • Motivation and ability to work a flexible work schedule, if required
  • Ability to shift focus and organize priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • Travel up to 10% when necessary
 

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with maintaining environmental permits
  • Experience in a diversified industrial manufacturing
  • Experience with topics such as overhead crane operation, energy isolation/electrical safety, fall protection, machining safety, industrial hygiene, hazardous waste, etc.
