Job Description:

Provide financial support to Project Control and responsible for segment financial reporting, month end closing, income statement and balance sheet analysis. The individual will report to the PLM Controller.


 

Qualifications

  • Must be a US Citizen
  • Bachelor’s or higher degree in Accounting or Finance
  • Minimum of 3 years accounting/finance experience; CPA or MBA a plus but not require
  • Strong understanding of accounting theory, including U.S. GAAP
  • Deltek Costpoint, ORACLE, SAP or other big ERP system knowledge
  • Highly detail oriented and organized in work
  • Must have the ability to work independently and be a self-starter
  • Ability to meet assigned deadlines, work well under pressure and provide timely results
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to multi-task and establish priorities
  • Strong proficiency with Microsoft Office applications especially EXCEL
  • Must have ability to work overtime in peak times
  • Ability to work cooperatively and collaboratively with all levels of employees, management, and external agencies to maximize performance, creativity, problem solving, and results.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare Monthly Project Cost Journal entries and assist with month end financial closing
  • Establish and maintain project set up numbers
  • Review and approve project expenditures (PR’S)
  • Prepare monthly project cost and revenue analyst
  • Prepare and review project trend analyst
  • Prepare technical reports by collecting, analyzing and summarizing information and trends
  • Monitor project progress by tracking activity, resolving problems, publishing progress reports, recommending actions
  • Track expenses and revenues vs. Budget and analyze fluctuations
  • Analyze current and past financial data and performance and evaluate profit plans
  • Coordinate with other members of the fiancé team to review financial information and forecast.
  • Prepare journal entries and reviews accounting classifications, in accordance with generally-accepted accounting principles
  • Ensure compliance with SGT & Siemens Corporate Accounting policy
  • Perform ad hoc reporting and analysis and investigate issues providing explanations and interpretation.
  • Special projects and/or requests for internal management reporting, including other business units and other support groups as required.
