Siemens DI-SW is recruiting an energetic Project Manager to lead a world-wide implementation of next generation PSA (Professional Services Automation) tools and processes. The scope of the project will span opportunity and bid management, capacity planning, resource management, project management, and billing, invoicing and revenue recognition.
In this role, the project manager will work closely with a matrixed, world-wide team to lead process harmonization, implement a solution using best in-class PSA tools, and deploy the solution to services, finance and pre-sales consultants globally. The program manager will manage scope, budget, schedule and work packages of the project.
This position will report to the Siemens PL Global Sales and Services Systems Director.
Prerequisites and Essential Functions
Participate in the PSA tools selection RFP and proof of concept.
Lead the process harmonization activities across all zones including Mentor along with Global Services Operation Lead.
Manage the design and implementation of the NextGen PSA solution that supports the business requirements and the implementation schedule as defined by the Siemens-Mentor integration targets.
Lead the implementation team which will be comprised of internal representatives (Services, finance, IT), 3rd party consultants and software vendors.
Plan and lead the deployment of solution which will include data migration, user training, process documentation, and support and maintenance structure.
Support Global Services Operation Lead on organization change management.
Tightly coordinate efforts with IT, and Services and Sales Operations.
Define and manage a communication plan for all stakeholders.
Manage the project schedule.
Define work packages and manage tasks of a virtual, global team.
Identify risks and plan risk mitigation strategies.
Manage issues and escalations.
Manage project scope and budget.
Manage 3rd party contracts.
Ability to build and maintain strong working relationships between multiple functional groups.
Strong skills in facilitating coordination efforts and communication between functional groups.
Identify, establish, and maintain key performance and success metrics that drive business objectives.
Required Knowledge/Skills, Education, and Experience
4-6 years’ experience implementing professional services automation tools (PSA) such as OpenAir or FinancialForce.
10 years professional experience implementing enterprise solutions.
5 years of project management experience with worldwide scope and teams.
Required knowledge, skills, or expertise
Understanding of professional services operations in areas of opportunity and bid management, capacity planning, resource management, project management, and billing, invoicing and revenue recognition.
Knowledgeable in sales operations, resource management and forecasting, and budget/financial process.
Demonstrate ability to work with matrixed, worldwide teams.
Fluent with English (oral and written).
Location Preferred: United States in one of these primary locations Detroit, Portland, San Francisco, and Cincinnati or secondary locations: LA, Chicago, Dallas, and St Louis.
Possible locations: EMEA and Germany
Travel: 25 to 50% travel
