Job Description:

Position Summary



As a Project Engineer you will be responsible for developing work scope in line with client requirement, estimate labor hours, develop quality plans and routers, disposition repairs and put together shop books and final reports. In addition, you will be responsible to communicate technical details to the client as required.


Your Responsibilities:

  • Define work scope in line with Global standard Work Instructions and client requirement
  • Identify opportunities for upgrades and revamp
  • Develop resource estimates and lead time for jobs with input from shop supervision
  • Create shop book, Inspection package and quality plans
  • Ensure shop book is accurate before releasing it to the shop
  • Determine repair disposition as per DR service repair standards
  • Collaborate with product engineers on complex repairs
  • Work closely with product bay supervisors and leadsman to ensure specs and/or procedures are met during inspections and repairs.
  • Identify execution risk and develop mitigation plan
  • Create Final reports and ensure it is shipped with the job
  • Lead RCCA and Work with PI on Continuous improvement projects

Required Skills/Knowledge/Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in a technical or business related field or 5 years of product experience in leiu of degree
  • 5 years of experience with mechanical aptitude and basic understanding of rotating equipment repairs
  • Experience with MS Word, Excel, Power Point, Project Outlook and ORACLE
  • Ability to work overtime and weekends as needed
  • Good professional customer relation skills
Preferred Skills/Knowledge/Experience
  • Masters in a technical or business related field
  • 8 years of professional experience
  • CAD skills desirable and GD&T
  • Statistics and Quality control experience
