Job Description:

Siemens is currently seeking a Senior PCB CAD Engineer to join our ultrasound imaging design team in Issaquah, WA. The successful candidate will be responsible for a wide array of PCB (printed circuit board) layouts for ultrasound systems and transducers.  The successful candidate will report to the Director of Hardware Engineering. 

Responsibilities/Expectations

  • Create PCB layouts of complex circuit designs utilizing Cadence Allegro.

  • Have a solid understanding of Cadence constraint manager.

  • Ability to interpret supplier data sheets and convert into Cadence Allegro library components.

  • Ability to transpose input files to Cadence Allegro, i.e., Pads, Dxf, Emp, ProE/Creo, Orcad and other file types.

  • Work closely with electrical design engineers to create successful design layout constraint driven results.

  • Work with and maintain relationships with PCB suppliers on standards, impedance calculations, materials and processes.

  • Excellent time management skills to stay focused and on schedule for engineering design layout projects.

  • Work cross functionally with groups within Siemens and with contract manufacturing partners.

  • Leverage your Cadence Allegro and PCB layout expertise to train less experienced engineers. 

 Required Knowledge/Skills, Education, and Experience

  • 5 + years of actual PCB design experience in RF/digital/analog layout

  • 5+ Years of experience in Cadence Allegro

  • 2+ years of setting up Cadence Allegro constraints

  • Familiarity with Mentor Graphics PCB layout tools a plus

  • Familiarity with Mentor Graphics EDM a plus

  • Familiarity with SAP a plus

  • BSEE or equivalent experience
