Position Overview


A successful candidate for this Technical Sales Support position will be able to review requests for proposals for Siemens Process Gas Chromatographs, their associated products and service opportunities to determine opportunity feasibility and then to derive an optimized Siemens solution.  Candidate will utilize information provided from domestic and international Siemens sales experts to develop, edit, and write original, customized proposal responses and other sales-related documents utilizing Siemens proprietary global quoting tool and ensuring global pricing alignment.



  • Utilize Siemens proprietary digital quoting tool to complete gas chromatograph quotations in a globalized format to meet both International and Domestic customer requirements (training to be provided). Develop and validate/endorse the appropriate technical solution to submitted inquiries
  • Be able to quickly decide if complex, or unusual requests need to be submitted for engineering review to request assistance in completing a quote for that request
  • Develop a complete understanding of the organization's structure and key buying influences of assigned customer accounts
  • Support/assist Siemens Quotations Professionals from other Siemens Gas Chromatograph manufacturing locations (Germany, Singapore)
  • Independently perform full range of standard work for the professional field (MUST be proficient in Microsoft Office applications)

Required Knowledge/Education

  • BS/BA (physical science discipline preferred)
  • Chemistry background is preferred, In-depth knowledge in Gas Chromatography is ideal
  • 5-8 years of successful experience in related field and successful demonstration of KEY responsibilities and knowledge as presented above. (Equivalent combination of education and experience as an advanced degree MAY be substituted for experience, where applicable.)
  • Familiarity with method development and sample handling for proper selection of detectors, columns, injection methods, oven temperatures and other GC method parameters.
  • Basic chemistry knowledge and understanding of gas chromatography and other process measurement principles (thermal conductivity, flame ionization, photoionization, IR, etc)
