Service Pre-Sales Solution Engineer
This role will be responsible to provide and lead pre sales engineering support and solutions to several SGRE internal and external customers. Demonstrates leadership in communicating business goals/programs/processes for an area or business segment. Has the experience or expertise to solve problems. Able to develop and execute objectives for self and others. The Pre-sales Project Engineer will play a key role in mentoring the aftermarket sales team on technical solutions and serve as the technical project representative with internal clients.
The candidate will provide and prepare information as required to internal and external customers and will have to review contractual terms and language to evaluate the capacity of the organization to comply.
The main objective of the role is to provide the Service Sales department an interface for technical support
The Services Technology department, which this role reports to has technical responsibility for support to Operations. In this role, the pre-sales engineer will be responsible to provide the Sales department the technical requisites for each product in the product catalogue, aid in developing scopes for sales offers, and review terms for technical due dilligence.
Product support will be in diverse topics – aerodynamics, acoustics, electrical, control systems, etc. Candidate must be comfortable learning a broad base of topics and collaborate with technical subject matter experts for advanced topics.
Resolve technical problems and questions from customers, consultants, sales or business development department.
Manage projects and advise team members of sales: technical training, coaching, etc.
Review technical reports, specifications, design documents, and process definition documentation
Production of materials to support the sale and marketing of SGRE Wind Turbines
Technical support of sales department in the negotiation of new wind farm projects or mods/ups of existing projects
Support Product Management activities by assessing and reporting on the technology demands of the market (i.e. client requests and available product gap)
Development of opportunity matrixes based on current site configuration and potential products to apply for sales team and others
Perform all other duties as assigned
Required Knowledge/Skills, Education, and Experience
BS in Systems engineering, Electrical, Mechanical or related engineering field required
Excellent verbal and written communication skills required
Strong time management skills
Ability to work autonomously and learn independently
Strong organizational, analytical skills, and the ability to multi-task
Ability to develop and maintain professional relationships
Ability to work within a team as well independently

Preferred Knowledge/Skills, Education, and Experience
Minimum 2 yrs engineering experience
Broad based engineering experience
Wind Industry experience preferred
Experience managing projects (PMP, LEAN Six Sigma, etc.)
Ability to successfully work in a multifunction and multi-disciplined team environment
Ability to work in fast pace high volume environment
Standard office equipment and advanced Microsoft Office Suite
Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, Access, AutoCAD, etc.
Bi-lingual English and Spanish is a plus
