Job Description:

Sr. Accountant, Financial Reporting

Locations:  Wilsonville, OR (Primary) or Plano, TX (Secondary) 


Position Overview: 

The Sr. Accountant will perform functions related to general accounting and supports the accurate reporting of accounting data.  Will also be responsible for leading special projects that relate to general ledger maintenance and functionality.  Will be required to work under minimal supervision with a high level of quality.

 

Responsibilities:

· Contributes to Balance Sheet and P&L closing, and prepares respective reports and financial statements

· Able to prepare complex variance and financial statement analysis for Business Unit (BU) management and external auditors

· Provides advice in use and interpretation of accounting data to accounting and non-accounting BU staff

· Completes projects concerning improvements of general financial processes

 

Required Knowledge/Skills, Education, and Experience:

· Bachelor’s degree in Finance or Accounting

· 2+ Years' of public accounting experience, or 8+ years of financial accounting and reporting experience

· Excellent technical knowledge of SAP functions and advanced Excel capabilities

· Ability to work with multiple management levels throughout the company in analyzing financial situations

· Excellent analytical, communication, and organizational skills

· Ability to multi-task and manage concurrent projects

· Ability to use professional judgment, problem solving and decision-making skills to resolve immediate and anticipated issues

· Ability to take ownership of assignments and work independently

· Willingness for some business travel as needed


Preferred Knowledge/Skills, Education, and Experience:

· Globally recognized accounting certification (e.g. CPA, CMA, etc.) preferred
