Position Overview

 

Are you ready to play an integral role in the rapid expansion of the digital portfolio for a global market-leading equipment manufacturer?  You will use your digital mindset to work with customers across various markets to develop custom software solutions and support the delivery of digital services for high power motors and drives in North America. You will work closely with product development, marketing, delivery/execution and sales teams to generate new offers for the market.  Along the way, you will be generating new ideas, learning new technologies and incorporating your ideas into shaping a fast-evolving business towards growth and profitability.  

 

Responsibilities

 

Grow the Digital Services portfolio for high power Motors and Drives

 

Development and cultivation of key partnerships in industry, particularly around software development and technology application

 

Act as a Digital Services subject matter expert, supporting business development, marketing and sales in the market while also serving to support engineering and delivery teams with end users

 

Work closely with customers to develop custom solutions and identify new opportunities for value creation

 

Drive organizational change towards a digital future state vision

 

 

Required Knowledge/Skills, Education, and Experience

 

B.S. – Electrical Engineering, Software Engineering, Computer Science or Management Information Systems (Degree)

 

Demonstrates entrepreneurial spirit;  strong interest and capabilities in operating as an independent, creative, and ambitious innovator and change leader in the business

 

3+ years in an engineering or software development role

 

Strong technology background:  motors/drives preferred, also preferring automation systems, process control, application creation experience

 

Strong business acumen:  ability to create business plans, understanding of financial reports, understanding of G2M strategies/approaches, strong customer savvy

 

Quick learner and flexible to change

 

 Preferred Knowledge/Skills, Education, and Experience

 

Variable Frequency Drives and motors experience

 

IoT, cloud-based SaaS experience

 

Product analytics and diagnostics development and deployment

 

Python, Java, HTML

 

Agile development experience in the digital enterprise

 

Strong communicator and excellent presentation skills
