What skills requirements do you need to become a Small Parts Inspector?
Experience with performing in-process and final dimensional inspections.
In this role you will assist with ongoing operator verification audits and perform process audits.
Inspections require you to verify completion of all in-process paperwork.
You will inspect summarize the data by compiling final paperwork required for shipment of components.
Daily tasks in inspection with manufacturing will vary day to day.
What education and skills requirements do you need for this role as a Small Parts Inspector?
High School Diploma or GED/ Equivalent for your education is a minimum requirement.
Experience and Proficiencies in the following areas:
Ability to read and interpret complex blueprints including ability to calculate dimensions not given on the drawing.
In-depth working knowledge and understanding of measuring instruments and their applications.
Working knowledge of Microsoft Office. Specifically, MS Word and MS Excel. ISO 9001 or related Audit experience.
You will need to have a minimum of 3 years relevant experience in a quality/manufacturing role involving proficiencies above, machining preferred.
Communications skills demonstrating ability to effectively communicate within a smaller group, with a dynamic and diverse operations group and with management in regard to all daily activities.
What experience and education would help you in your role as a small parts Inspector?
Education: 2-Year Degree in Machining or other related discipline.
Experience and Proficiencies:
All mentioned in Basic Requirements.
A strong background in GD&T.
Working knowledge / understanding of machining practices, processes and techniques. Advanced Computer skills and knowledge of MS Office suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, Access).
Experience using Adobe Acrobat.
3-5 years of relevant experience in a quality/manufacturing role involving proficiencies above.
