Position Summary

As the Lead LNG Rotating Equipment Engineer, you will be the project focal point for all design, specification and services related to the rotating equipment and related equipment packages and auxiliary systems to be integrated into an LNG process plant. 


The LNG Rotating Equipment Engineer will have In-depth knowledge of rotating equipment, turbines and mechanical systems, national codes, standards and regulations, and their implementation in operating facilities.  

Your Responsibilities include:
  •  Support LNG projects by serving as an expert on rotating equipment and mechanical systems.
  • Perform equipment specification and selection for gas & steam turbines, compressors, expanders, pumps and motors.

  • Perform calculations and use sizing programs for the selection of rotating equipment.
  • Ensure equipment meets process design and performance requirements.

  • Working knowledge of codes, standards, and regulations that are equipment related.
  • Preparation of mechanical datasheets and specifications.
  • Update plant design documentation to integrate equipment design into facility design.

  • Witness and evaluate Factory Tests.
  • Provide field assistance for mechanical completion, commissioning, startup and operations as required.

  •  Bachelors degree with major studies in mechanical engineering or equivalent. 
  • 15+ years of related experience in mechanical engineering (rotating equipment)
  • 5+ years of experience in LNG industry  
  • Knowledge of industry codes and standards including: API, ANSI, ASME, ASTM, IEC, NEC, NACE, and NFPA 59A.

  • Knowledge of fluid dynamics, principles of turbo-machinery, and materials of construction.

  • Knowledge of instrumentation and controls related to rotating equipment.

  • Knowledge of skid structural design and equipment support and packaging related to rotating equipment.
