Job Description:

We are seeking an intern to work within our Transducer Materials and Process Engineering team on the development, processing, and characterization of materials and components of our high-performance medical ultrasound transducers.

Job responsibilities include:

  • Formulation, casting, and characterization (e.g., mechanical, acoustic, electrical) of novel materials
  • Operation of test hardware and instruments (e.g., acoustic measurement, differential scanning calorimeter)
  • Development of test and analysis software (e.g., Python, MATLAB, LabVIEW)
  • Transducer array processing (e.g., lamination, dicing)
  • Data analysis, documentation/reporting, and presentation


The intern will benefit by working in a dynamic and cross-functional environment on development of state-of-the-art medical ultrasound technology. All work will be guided, supported, and reviewed by senior engineers to help the individual develop skills for the healthcare/ultrasound industry.


The intern will build on their academic knowledge and skills, including but not limited:

  • Chemical formulations, processing, and characterization
  • Laboratory equipment operation and safety
  • Test design, execution, data analysis, and reporting
  • Presentation skills
  • Ultrasound imaging fundamentals
