Field Marketing Manager for the Americas Siemens Software

The Field Marketing Manager for the Americas is responsible for all marketing campaign planning and management to drive field execution at an industry and country level for the Americas. At the industry campaign planning and management level the primary area of focus will be Aerospace & Defense, with a secondary focus on Marine. The successful candidate will be accountable and responsible for creating and managing marketing planning and supporting the revenue targets of the Zone in relation of the assigned Industry.
 
This position requires an individual who has both marketing and sales knowledge with effective planning, creative thinking, communications, execution excellence and communication skills. Knowledge of the market and customer challenges, specific domain experience and the enthusiasm to communicate our Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) vision to the market while supporting our sales team is essential. Must have strong marketing program/project management experience and at least 3 years related marketing execution experience in a related area. Siemens in a highly matrixed organization and this individual contributor role will require excellent collaboration skills – working with and influencing people outside the Americas Marketing team.
 
As the marketing management lead, you will be responsible for the following functions within your role:
  • Marketing Planning
    • Contribution to and support of direct & indirect target market definitions and go-to-market strategies
      • Responsibility and Accountability for the creation and maintenance of a Zone-wide marketing plan to support the overall Zone and the specific business goals, in alignment with Country/Region Integrated Country Plans and with the corporate guidelines
      • Responsibility and Accountability of fiscal planning of assigned Industry budget
      • Accountability for the tracking at Zone level of Industry program budget spend vs. plan.
  • Demand Creation
    • Responsibility for the development and planning of demand creation campaigns while working with the country/region/zone marketing leader and the relevant sales leaders.
    • Accountability for objectives in relation to lead generation and pipeline contribution.
    • Responsibility and Accountability for the alignment of global marketing campaigns and guidelines with Zone Industry goals, local sales goals and tracking of associated metrics to identify marketing return on investment and plan adjustments.
  • Reputation
    • Accountability for awareness activities, including: press relations, media schedules, opinion leadership, social media plans, and executive engagements.
  • Sales Enablement
    • Involvement in and Contribution to all customer community activities including annual user conferences, customer facing communication and industry forums.
    • Accountability for customer reference programs within the assigned Industry.
    • Responsibility and Accountability over the communication of Industry enablement materials and specific marketing activities to the country management team, as well as the direct and indirect sales forces.
 
Required Knowledge/Skills, Education, and Experience
  • Marketing qualification, degree (preferred) or equivalent on-the-job experience
  • 3+ years of similar work experience; specific domain experience and a proven track record in the B2B software industry are preferred
  • Strong knowledge of the industrial software market
  • Strong project management and collaboration skills
  • Excellent time management, interpersonal communications, decision making, presentation and organization skills
  • Able to work and deliver to a deadline with high quality work
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Able to work with others and build consensus based decisions
  • Able to collect input from various teams and develop optimal plan
  • Education Requirements – Undergraduate degree in Marketing or Business. Engineering or Manufacturing background will be considered.
