•Respond to help desk tickets within service level agreement timeline
•Respond to help desk phone calls
•Provide accurate indirect tax advice via tax help ticket and phone calls
•Assign complex help desk tickets to tax consultant
Compliance/Exemption Certificate Management
•Monitor, execute and respond to EZ-Suite and tax department fax boxes customer tax exemption request to meet service level agreements.
•Validate and load exemption certificate request in SOC provided tools (Web Toolkit, Taxware, Vertex, etc.)
•Execute, track, and communicate the monthly exemption certificate renewal process.
•Timely and accurately complete monthly assigned exemption certificate metrics.
•Recommend exemption certificate management process improvements
•Comply with internal control requirements for exemption certificate management
•Recommend process improvements based on root cause analysis of rejected exemption certificates
Tax Adjustment Process
•Provide tax team members supporting documentation on tax adjustments to complete refund claims
•Actively contribute and participate in assigned departmental goals and objectives to meet Siemens assigned targets for financial, customer, process, and employee targets
•Participate as requested in the exemption certificate management and tax adjustment process for new SOC migrations. Sample task include: Documenting exemption processes, scanning exemptions, filing exemptions
