Position overview:


The R&D Controller controls all financial impacts of business unit research and development activities overseeing and controlling a $13M annual spend spread across multiple US locations. Successful candidates will be a forward thinker and change agent with the ability to implement process improvements internally and cross functionally. In addition, candidate is expected to drive transparency and root cause analysis for improved decision making.



Job Description and Duties

  • Lead the development of annual business plans and ensure accurate return on investment on R&D projects

  • Optimize cost center structure to ensure strong cost controlling and concise hourly rate development

  • Develop Annual budget and monthly forecast

  • Report actual costs vs plan/forecast and ensure strict adherence to R&D Budget

  • Develop strong Partnership with R&D lead

  • Drive Transparency through reporting and root cause analysis

  • Interaction and partnership with R&D HQ and global departments (UK, Spain)

  • Support leadership in driving organization adherence to key PLM and R&D Processes and milestones




  • BS or advanced degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration or relevant field from an accredited college or university.

  • 8 – 10 years of successful experience in a related field

  • Strong interpersonal and excellent communications skills required

  • SAP and Hyperion experience preferred

  • Familiarity working in large matrix organizations preferred.

  • Ability to travel 20%.
