Pre-Sales Solution Consultant II – Mendix- USA
 
Position Overview:
 
Responsibilities include participation in the sales process to facilitate sales of software. Engage with potential and existing customers to understand customer needs and high-level requirements. Utilizing knowledge of customer business needs, engineering and manufacturing processes, support product and solution positioning by preparing and delivering demonstrations of the technical capabilities of the proposed solutions to customers using standard material. Speak with authority on our customer's business issues, and how SISW can improve their business. Support the selection of appropriate suites of technology and proposal development for customer process improvement which ensure the interoperability and effectiveness of the overall solution within the context of the customer's business. Works on projects/assignments of diverse scope. Typically works under minimal supervision on
assignment/projects.
 
Responsibilities:
The presales solution consultant will support activities which include create presentations, provide demonstrations, participate in client facing meetings, interact in a complex selling environment (both
internally and externally). This specific Presales role requires an understanding of PLM (Teamcenter a plus) and/or other portfolio elements of Siemens PLM, to be able to position Mendix on top of these PLM or MOM products. The focus is on Extension Play proposals to customers, where Mendix is used to extend the functionality of e.g. Teamcenter for customer specific requirements and innovative solutions.  A good understanding of low code application development platforms and how Mendix products can address associated business challenges is also an import aspect of this role.
 
Minimum Requirements:
A completed Bachelors degree is required
At least 3-5yrs of prior experience in a Software Development role
At least 1-3 years of recent experience in software or high-tech sales
Must currently be located in the continental USA, and near a Siemens Office
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Excellent presentation skills.
Experience in MS Office technology with exceptional experience in PowerPoint.
Excellent communication/presentation skills.
Ability to learn quickly and apply what has been learned.
Must be open to up to 50% travel.
 
Preferred Experience:
Currently working in a software Presales/Applications Engineering position.
Bachelor’s degree in a software or technology related major.
