The Application Productivity Tools (APT) Associate Manager has direct responsibility for the APT team, which authors and maintains a small suite of application productivity tools for Simcenter STAR-CCM+. They will manage this team as well as contribute to development of new features and maintenance of existing and new tools, as well as oversee implementation of systems to deploy for the team to use in shared development processes. Reports to the Industry Solutions product management team leader.
•Personnel management (performance and development) for a small team (3-4)
•Specification, oversight, and some development of systems to be used by the APT team for tool development, testing, and deployment.
•Contribution to development of JAVA-based and cloud-based workflow tools for Simcenter STAR-CCM+
•Communication of product developments to internal customers (product management, internal user community, etc.) with some limited exposure/interaction with external customers.
•Research and make suggestions on new technologies for the team
Required Knowledge/Skills, Education, and Experience
•A Master’s degree (or equivalent) in a relevant engineering discipline (Computer Science is highly desirable) with 3-5 years of experience (or Bachelor's degree with additional experience).
•2 - 3 years of experience in management of people or technical leadership of projects
•Strong interest in continuing to program as this will be a portion or the responsibilities.
•A strong team player and creative thinker who is able to work with multi-cultural technical teams.
•Analytical thinker with strong organizational and problem-solving skills
Preferred Knowledge/Skills, Education, and Experience
•Experience in CAE tools/methods (CFD is highly desirable, Simcenter STAR-CCM+ is big plus)
