This key role in the Siemens Healthineers Diagnostics marketing organization drives all relevant aspects of the communications between the global diagnostics marketing and communications organizations and the global sales channel.
The Head of Sales Communications & Demand Generation Campaigns reports into the Vice President of Marketing & Communications, Diagnostics, and will lead a team responsible for implementing demand generation campaigns that uncover and nurture business opportunities, and for driving awareness of such campaigns and adoption of tactics and assets (e.g. messaging, collateral, sales effectiveness tools) by the global sales force. This role will work closely with the global commercial excellence team and product marketing teams, as well as local sales and marketing leadership to develop and roll-out relevant demand generation campaigns, that include air-coverage and ground-coverage assets and tactics that help key countries/zones to achieve commercial success.
This team will promote and measure adoption of marketing and sales assets through various sales-oriented vehicles –sales newsletter, sales push calls, internal social networks. The team will provide marketing and communication teams with analytics on usage and structured sales feedback, so they develop increasingly relevant marketing campaigns and materials tailored to commercial and sales objectives. Importantly, this role is responsible for implementing in collaboration with key countries and zones, digital/social lead-generation campaigns, which are global in framework, objectives, messaging, and assets and nurture paths, yet tailored to the key countries’ language, regulatory requirements and channels. This role will be responsible for establishing vehicles that enable and train the sales force on such campaigns, so they can reach commercial objectives.
This team will be responsible for streamlined distribution and cadence of material to the sales force and will work closely with the commercial excellence team to maximize educational opportunities, and scheduled sales meetings to create awareness, where to find and applicability during sales cycle. This team will dynamically support the sales organization and look for new and better opportunities to capture mindshare of the sales force delivering value for the Siemens Healthineers diagnostics businesses.
Accountable for translating commercial needs into actionable communications strategies and plans
Prioritizes and schedules communications for the sales force
Identifies trends and/or issues that will have an impact on sales enablement and creates programs or initiatives to address these trends (e.g.: translation, adoption, new content distribution channels)
Defines and monitors key performance indicators to measure the impact of marketing and communications strategies and tactics, and to drive usage and optimization of material created for the sales channel
Develops and drives lead-generation with the digital engagement, CRM and commercial excellence teams to successfully transition leads to sales.
Serves as an evangelist for sales collateral and tools. Ensures that sales/partners are regularly alerted and trained on new materials and tools, and that content is updated and communicated to the field in a systematic and organized manner
Serves as a communications strategist and consults with marketing communications on the needs of the sales force in the countries/zones/hubs
Leverages and evaluates the impact of different communication vehicles (e.g. ONE Library, sales newsletters, apps) and messaging strategies to ensure effective communications.
Analyzes processes and recommends improvement strategies that drive efficiencies, increased usage of pieces and tools, quality and effectiveness, and optimized assets based on needs and requirements of sales force
Supports the planning, coordination, prioritization and execution of training activities such as sales webinars
Tracks and reports on the impact of all sales channel enablement campaigns and programs
A bachelor’s degree in communications, marketing, business or equivalent
Ten years in a professional communications position in a global matrixed organization
Proven excellent written and verbal communication skills, ability to create enticing communication vehicles that educate and excite the sales force
Demonstrable skills in strategic thinking, analysis, project management, stakeholder management
Ability to build, manage and coach a team, ability to be a change agent, build relationships and trust among stakeholders and internal clients
Intercultural sensitivity, as this is a global role supporting many regions
Proven ability to effectively network, and work with individuals from all levels of organization in different countries and languages
Travel may be required up to 20%
Self-directed, outstanding organization and time management skills, able to prioritize multiple functions and tasks
Strong digital/social campaign development and implementation skills, analytical and business approach
Attention to detail
Strong knowledge of Word, Excel and PPT
SAP and CMS knowledge is a plus
