The Digital Technology and Innovation Team at Siemens Healthineers has openings in Princeton, NJ for Senior Research Scientists with focus on Machine Learning / Artificial Intelligence methods for Medical Imaging applications.

This is a role well suited to an ambitious professional, looking for the next step in their career. As a Senior AI Scientist, you will be responsible for:

  • Research, design, and implement machine learning algorithms for Medical Imaging and Computer Vision problems.
  • Advance the state-of-the-art, including generating patents and publications in top journals and conferences.
  • Work on large-scale, real-world problems in collaboration with clinical and technical partners.
  • Fast prototyping, feasibility studies, specification and implementation of medical image analysis algorithms for clinical research
  • Work with customers to understand algorithm and workflow requirements and deliver prototype and product-ready solutions
What do I need to qualify for this job?
  • Ph.D. in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Applied Mathematics or related discipline
  • 5+ years of experience (including Ph.D. study) in machine learning, applied mathematics, computer vision fields
    Strong coding skills and experience in python and deep learning libraries is required. Proficiency in C/C++ and CUDA is a plus
  • Strong publication record in Machine Learning, Computer Vision and Medical Image Analysis
  • Prior experience with medical image analysis is a plus
  • Strong collaboration skills and ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong interpersonal and written and verbal communication skills
