Procurement Specialist



Are you looking for your next dynamic opportunity? The Central Functions Team at Siemens Rural Hall is looking for an Indirect Purchasing agent who will have direct involvement with supplier management, sourcing, and purchasing negotiation for our indirect material and services. You will harmonize with Engineering, Facilities and Operations in a multi-functional manufacturing environment. The successful professional will be customer driven, detail oriented and have a can-do attitude.

Responsibilities:
• Dedicated involvement with Strategic Sourcing of Indirect Parts and Services, Supplier Management, negotiating Purchasing Volumes, preparing Vendor and Non-Vendor (ad-Hoc) Schedules, handling Invoice inquiries, sending RFQ’s, managing supplier relations, and other assigned duties
• Ensure proper alignment to the company’s processes and procedures
• Anticipate that all purchase documents are issued and maintained as appropriate, including any required customer flow down requirements
We look for this person to be situated at the established manufacturing facility in Rural Hall, NC
Required Knowledge/Skills, Education and Experience:
What you will need to have accomplished to be successful:
• Accumulated a minimum of 1 year of experience in Supply Chain, Manufacturing or Operations
• Engage with Multi-functional teams in an operations and engineering environment
• Ability to work in a complex, fast changing global social environment
• Deep understanding of business strategy and plans to ensure alignment
• Familiarity with Operational Management and Quality Processes and supporting Strategic programs
• You will have a creative and innovative mindset
• Practical experience in developing business improvements and validated Commercial and Contractual experience
• Ability to use excellent verbal and written English skills in a dynamic environment
• Ability to travel 10% travel
Preferred Knowledge/Skills, Education, and Experience
Step to the front of the pack if you have:
• Achieved an Associates degree in Business or related field
• Acquired knowledge in the Energy, Oil and Gas industry standards for onshore and offshore
• Critical experience with SAP purchasing module
