Job Description

The Digital Factory Division offers a comprehensive portfolio of seamlessly integrated hardware, software and technology-based services to support manufacturing companies worldwide in enhancing the flexibility and efficiency of their production processes and in reducing the time to market of their products.

The ultimate goal is the complete integration and digital representation of the physical value chain. The platform for this is called Digital Enterprise.

About the role

Senior professional expertise, with extensive functional, commercial and/or technical knowledge in an area of competence. They integrate analysis, development, testing and implementation. They interpret and functionally influence policy and guidelines in their area of business / technology, and develop processes and systems to deliver functional objectives. 

They typically plan own work according to targets agreed, within an quarterly up to an annual cycle, by integrating resources in a project driven environment. They provide functional advice and guidance to colleagues and customers. A chartered professional qualification or equivalent is typically associated with grades (though not necessary).

Key responsibilities

·        Plans sales volumes and potential of target customers.

·        Provides information via CRM for forecasts and planning.

·        Analyzes and evaluates markets (both technology and product portfolio) and needs of potential or existing customers.

·        Investigates and evaluates specific business opportunities for the customer related product and service portfolio.

·        Prepares customer contacts, builds and maintains a customer focused network.

·        Prepares and negotiates projects and proposals in cooperation with other involved professionals and management. 

·        Coordinates the realization of assignments, may coordinate and contribute to set up respective product developments, projects or services programs for the customer.

·        May act as point of contact in commercial matters.

·        Completes sales and revenue related key reporting.

·        Contributes to the development of an After Sales Service that is focused on customers' needs.
