Where you will be working?
Siemens Governance & Markets is seeking a professional to focus on our public sector clients in the Middle East. Based in Abu Dhabi you will work closely with our business units on large projects throughout the region, building relationships with our major public sector clients.
What are your responsibilities?
Based in the UAE but traveling extensively throughout the region, it will be your task to fully analyze challenges and policies of countries in the Middle East and develop individual strategies for dedicated countries of the region - in close collaboration with affected Siemens divisions, local Siemens leadership and business development teams.
You will proactively develop governmental relations in the Middle East countries with Siemens manufacturing footprint to support our global business activities
You will contribute by creating and driving competitive advantages to support our business in winning multi million to billion infrastructure and digitalization deals by setting up, running and executing public sector projects in Middle East and further strategic economic areas, e.g., Africa
Working with the business units, you will create unique selling points to achieve positive top-line business impact for Siemens
You will manage regional public sector projects and cooperate closely with the global public sector team.
You will identify regulatory opportunities according to our business and innovation strategy in relevant political arenas in the Middle East region early on, e.g., Data Platforms, Cybersecurity, Logistics, Digital Transformation, Hydrogen, AI and machine learning
You will engage and interact with external stakeholders’ incl. government officials and major accounts jointly with regional leadership and in close alignment with divisions concerned in respective countries of the region.
Your qualifications – solid and appropriate
You have an excellent university degree in business administration, engineering, public policy, international relations and / or equivalent, an advanced degree (MBA, MPA) is a plus
As an expert you have at least 5 years of relevant experience in project / infrastructure business as well as min. 5 years of experience in leading international project teams.
You have substantial experience in managing corporate government affairs on a senior level.
Due to your experience in public policy and international affairs you are able to give profound guidance on the geopolitical interests in the Region Middle East and policies of governments involved
Knowledge and strong experience working with Embassies and Ministries in the region Middle East
You live / have lived and/or work/ worked in at least one country in the Middle East region and have the willingness to travel within the Region to manage regional projects
You have proven in your former roles the strong advocacy skills to maximize value for Siemens and possesses the ability to align internal and external interests in order to jointly create solutions and projects with many internal and external stakeholders involved
Fluent English and Arabic skills are essential, German language skills are desirable
