  • You play a leading role in revolutionizing manufacturing applications with advanced algorithms from computational mathematics, artificial intelligence or embedded computing
  • Furthermore you are responsible for the design and implementation of innovative technologies and algorithms from an idea to a software system
  • You develop sophisticated algorithms and enjoy implementing them as efficient high-quality software
  • The identification of new data-related business opportunities in the manufacturing area (Internet of Things and Edge Computing) is part of your job description
  • At latest you advance technology and create invention disclosures

What you need to make real what matters.

  • You hold an university degree (PhD degree is a plus) in mathematics, computer science, bioinformatics, physics, or engineering sciences (thesis in the field of machine learning is a plus)
  • In addition you already have 3 or more years of work experience and expertise with technologies, algorithms and methodologies in the areas of data analytics and machine learning or computational mathematics on embedded devices (publication record is a plus)
  • You have strong software development skills in particular in Python, C++ or Java combined with knowledge of analytical libraries, experience with agile development like SCRUM is a plus. You also own knowledge of and experience with modern analytical frameworks, libraries and analytical development frameworks
  • Additionally you have domain knowledge in mechanical engineering, control engineering or automation systems
  • Advanced experience with massive parallel processing (Hadoop, Spark) and stream analytics (Storm, Spark Streaming) as well as relational databases is appreciated
  • Very good speaking and writing skills in English (German is a big plus) complete your working profile
